Golden Hour Designs is seeking a motivated Operational Support Staff team member to join us on a part-time, temporary, seasonal (PTS) basis. This is a dynamic, hybrid role designed to support both our retail and production operations based on daily business needs. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring our shop runs smoothly—from creating an exceptional in-store customer experience to supporting the hands-on production of our products behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for adaptable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy a mix of customer interaction, creative production work, and operational support.

Our products are widely available across the Central California local market circuit, carried in over 700 retail stores across the US, and now open to the public at our first brick and mortar location in Oak Park, Sacramento, CA.

Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

• Retail, sales, or customer service
• Events and/or hospitality
• Product assembly, craftsmanship, or production environments
• Shopify POS and/or basic inventory systems
• Slack and Google Workspace tools

Availability Requirements:

• Availability to work a mix of weekdays, weekends and occasional holidays
• Flexibility to work varied hours based on seasonal business demands

• Greet and welcome customers, creating a warm and engaging in-store experience
• Educate customers on product features and assist with selections and purchases
• Operate Shopify POS, handle transactions, and ensure accurate inventory tracking
• Support customer inquiries in-store, via phone, and via email as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked retail environment
• Assist in the assembly of jewelry and home goods with attention to quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished products to ensure consistency with GHD standards
• Package and prepare products for shipment or retail display
• Operate and maintain production tools and equipment safely
• Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines

• Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders
• Track materials and product stock levels and update systems accordingly
• Support inventory organization and restocking across both retail and production areas
• Participate in routine inventory counts

• Use Slack and internal tools to stay informed and communicate with the team
• Support general operational needs and special projects as assigned
• Assist leadership with cross-functional tasks as business needs evolve

• Must be 21+ years old
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail/customer service;
  Minimum one year demonstrated experience
• Previous experience with Shopify POS highly preferred
• Previous experience with Slack preferred
• Intermediate skill in using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level of professionalism; able to handle difficult situations (such as change) with diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a standard background check.
