Raymond West is looking for a driven Dock & Door Product Manager Sales Specialist to join our Sales team! The Dock & Door Product Manager Sales Specialist includes direct selling and supports our large general sales team on dock and door sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Business-to-business industrial sales using a consultative, relationship-based approach.
- Direct Sales to building contractors, architects, and property management companies
- Training and marketing of the Dock & Door product line to our Core Sales and Customer Care Manager Team
- Increase Dock Equipment sales through account development and internal/external networking.
- Develop leads for the Core Sales team for racking, forklifts, and other products through your contractor relationships
- Achieve gross margins and profitability targets for new equipment sales
- Whenever possible, sell maintenance contracts supported by our service organization
- Grow sales revenue through existing customer base and new account development
- Maintain an awareness of competitive issues and a high level of customer satisfaction
- Provide accurate and timely information used for managing the business, including leads, proposals, marketing data, competitive data, sales forecasts, and expense management
- Team environment. Represent the Company loyally, faithfully, with honesty and integrity
- When applicable, supervise staff in an assigned area to include planning and assigning projects/tasks to staff, making hiring, separation, and disciplinary recommendations, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure training development, coordination of training and identify training needs for applicable new and existing staff / sales team.
- Provide leadership for assigned staff.
- If staff is assigned, the Dock & Door Manager will manage employee's Time and Attendance
- Manage the operational activities related to the Dock & Door product line which includes monitoring stock equipment needs.
- Develop, organize, implement, and oversee programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure achievement of Dock & Door sales goals
- Render decisions with respect to key department issues impacting overall service and performance.
- Provide input to senior leadership for annual budgets
- Direct and prepare reports for Storage and Automation Senior leadership
- Participate in Company or Department projects
- Ensure assigned employees and team are following all Company Policies
- Works closely with other departments and communicate with all levels of employees, customers, and Manufacturers both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates drive and initiative
- Maintains a professional attitude in all matters
- Correspond and monitor Vendor performance along with developing new vendors as needs or opportunities develop
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
- Must be able to manage time efficiently

- Must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments
- Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage their time and the time of others efficiently.
- Dock Equipment Sales Experience or experience Selling Capital equipment to end users and General Contractors
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand Architectural Drawings
- Product and Company Training will be provided
- Material handling experience preferred
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 Years minimum sales experience required
- Local travel to customer locations and other Raymond West offices is expected as a daily requirement.
- Overnight travel varies based on customer demands and company/industry meetings, but the average throughout the year is typically less than 20%
