Territory Infrastructure Sales Representative

QUIKRETE® the North American leader in preblended and packaged cement and concrete products, is currently seeking a highly motivated energetic professional to fill an outside Infrastructure Sales position in the Northern California market area.

This opportunity is within the Infrastructure products division and the primary function of the Sales Representative is to sell QUIKRETE® commercial products: shotcretes, grouts, fastsets and related cementitious goods to commercial contractors and distributors.

• Target markets include heavy highway, rehabilitation/restoration, lock and dam, sewer rehabilitation and railroads.
• Daily responsibilities include the promotion of QUIKRETE products to commercial distributors, contractors, state DOTs and specifiers.
• The Infrastructure Representative shall attend and support local trade organizations.
• The Infrastructure Salesperson must work closely with the operations department (plant) and the Technical Center to make sure that the product being used in the field is a design that meets the customer’s workability and performance expectations.
• The Infrastructure Representative will have the ability to be a self-starter and work independently to achieve performance goals.
• The ideal candidate would have an understanding of the complete construction process.
• In this position it will be necessary for the candidate to visit commercial jobsites.
• Conduct job site demonstrations and presentations.
• The ability to identify and target key contractors, distributors, and specifiers.
• Work with operations and management to create product forecasts and delivery schedules.
• Participate in local and national trade organizations and events as is necessary.
• Identify and capture new business, as well as maintain and grow existing business.
• Possess an understanding of the marketplace including but not limited to competition, key players and local product preferences.

• Bachelor's degree from accredited University preferred.
• 3 - 5 years sales/marketing experience.
• Reside in the territory listed above.
• Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Skilled in making presentations to prospective customers and decision makers.
• Must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to lift or carry 80 lbs. /36 kg.

• Sales or related industry experience in the construction materials industry.
• Specific Infrastructure industry experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude as it relates to helping customers.
• Some overnight travel is required.
