LOCATION: Main Office Sacramento
REPORTS TO: President/CEO
Salary Range: $27.77 - $33.50 depending on experience and qualifications
Qualifications- Three to five years of similar or related experience
- A two-year college degree preferred or completion of certification, or specialized training courses
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be flexible and self-motivated
- Have a high degree of organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for acquiring new, profitable member relationships that drive core deposit growth and generate quality lending opportunities. This role emphasizes building and sustaining relationships within the community, local common bond employer groups, and area businesses, while supporting the credit union’s strategic growth objectives and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Community & Partner Outreach (Build and Maintain relationships)
- Referral Generation & Follow‑Up (Acquire new, profitable member relationships)
- Internal Support & Collaboration (Communicate regularly with team members and collaborate with management)
- Marketing & Promotions (Prepare and facilitate presentations designed to promote and inform the public and members of our products, financial education and services)
- Maintain a portfolio of active referral and community relationships
- Generate a steady pipeline of qualified referrals
- Participate in a defined number of outreach activities or partner touchpoints per month
- Represent the credit union professionally, positively and consistently in the community
- Demonstrate reliability, follow‑through, and effective communication
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to frequently move to accomplish tasks
- Corrected vision within the normal range
- Hearing within the normal rangel
- Sustained speaking and interpersonal interaction
- Walking and standing for extended periods
- Navigating stairs, uneven surfaces, or long distances
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. as may be required
- Valid Drivers License
- Requires local travel within the community using a personal vehicle, including travel between branches and other locations. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage rate, up to a maximum monthly amount as determined by the President/CEO. Must have valid driver license. BDR is responsible for maintaining personal vehicle insurance with use for business endorsement and providing sufficient coverage and proof of such insurance.
