Responsibilities include:

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative biological assessments
  • Provide project management support
  • Supervise field staff
  • Write and review technical reports and CEQA/NEPA chapters
  • Conducting ESA consultations for projects requiring a CWA 404 permit
  • Leading meetings
  • Proposal preparation support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in biology, fisheries biology, wildlife biology, fish and wildlife biology, conservation biology, environmental science, aquatic ecology, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience, preferably with some consulting experience
  • Expertise in environmental permitting, wildlife biology, ecosystem restoration, aquatic ecology, and/or fisheries biology
  • Familiar with CEQA/NEPA
  • Familiar with California State and Federal Endangered Species Acts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with clients and team members effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
