That’s why we created the Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. This role is located in Sacramento, CA
, and is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when needed.

- Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. - Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours one week and full‑time the next – it’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify security‑related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to help deter unauthorized access, support orderly operations, and provide visible assistance when needed.
- Support retail location operations by observing customer and/or visitor activity, addressing routine questions, and communicating with site contacts regarding security‑related issues or unusual conditions.
- A minimum of 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
