Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. You will work in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring that the HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee installation of new HVAC systems and components according to specifications and local codes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, replacing filters, and inspecting for issues.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance to clients.
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed, often outside of standard working hours.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Stay updated on new HVAC technologies and industry best practices.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC training program preferred.
  • Valid C-20 Contractors license required.
  • Valid HVAC technician license or certification as required by local/state regulations.
  • EPA certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation and repair.
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems related to HVAC.
  • Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical conditions.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Skill in preventive maintenance, boiler operation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Experience with EPA Universal, service management, and field service.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, sheet metal, PLC control, and blueprint reading.
  • Understanding of construction, plumbing, refrigeration, duct work, carpentry, heating, and HVAC installation.

Work Environment

Work involves climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, and working in cramped spaces. You must be available to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs is required. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm, with potential for overtime and weekend work. You will work in facilities/commercial maintenance settings, often exposed to outside temperatures year-round.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
