About This Role

Telecom Construction Supervisor – Sacramento, CA (job sites in Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Vallejo; travel required).

The Telecom Construction Supervisor will oversee the operations of multiple construction sites and manage daily activities at each site. Responsibilities include ensuring project progress, scheduling workers, delivering equipment and materials, supervising foremen and crews, and ensuring timely, code‑compliant project completion. Pay is $85,000–$120,000 per year, DOE.

Responsibilities

All phases of telecommunication construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of construction materials and equipment.

  • Maintain strict build‑out schedule and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines
  • Perform inspection of job sites and individual work duties
  • Maintain a daily job‑site log
  • Perform quality control duties per job site
  • Participate in required supervisor meetings
  • Ensure that each team member is aware of quality and safety standards and company policies
  • Assist in training foremen and crew members
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with workers, customers, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and verify work is completed
  • Coordinate construction services and activities
  • Ensure job site safety is met
  • Mediate disputes or complaints with third parties
  • Approve daily timecard submissions for foremen and crew members
Qualifications
  • Must have 5+ years of telecom supervisory experience
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license or be willing and eligible to obtain the required license
  • A good driving record is required
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment safely
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (higher wage scales for CDL holders)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and other stakeholders
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous construction experience
  • Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction
  • Ability to travel
Working Conditions

This full‑time hourly position requires at least 40 hours per week. Work is conducted outdoors and is exposed to various weather conditions (cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, high wind). The environment varies across terrain, traffic, urban and rural settings. The role may involve exposure to natural gas, risk of electrical shock, and moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours), tolerate extreme weather, speak and hear safety instructions, and perform repeated lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling. Must regularly lift 75 pounds. Vision: clear close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
