Maintenance and Lighting Technician (Travel Required)
This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial lighting systems and electrical components. The Maintenance and Lighting Technician ensures that lighting fixtures, wiring, and related electrical infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently across the facility.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair all types of lighting fixtures and systems, including LED, fluorescent, low pressure sodium, metal halide, neon lighting, and associated drivers and transformers.
- Diagnose and repair defective internal fixture wiring to restore proper operation and ensure safety.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair contractors, breakers, and circuit wiring to support reliable lighting and electrical performance.
- Install, route, and secure conduit and wiring in accordance with applicable electrical standards and best practices.
- Perform conduit bending and related tasks to support new lighting installations and modifications.
- Conduct electrical maintenance on commercial lighting products, ensuring equipment remains in good working condition.
- Work with 3-phase electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of related lighting circuits and components.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing electrical and lighting work.
- Document work performed, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities, in a clear and accurate manner.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing LED, fluorescent, low pressure sodium, metal halide, and neon lighting systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair defective internal fixture wiring and related electrical issues.
- Proficiency with electrical maintenance tasks, including working with contractors, breakers, and circuit wiring.
- Experience installing and working with conduit, including conduit bending and pulling wire.
- Familiarity with a wide range of commercial lighting products and their electrical requirements.
- Experience working with 3-phase electrical systems.
- NRLT certification or electrical license.
- At least 2 years of electrical experience.
- Clean driving record (Clean DMV).

- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical information related to lighting systems.
- Attention to detail and a safety-focused mindset when working with electrical equipment.
- Capability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively.

Work EnvironmentThis role operates in commercial environments where a variety of lighting and electrical systems are installed. You will work with technologies such as LED, fluorescent, low pressure sodium, metal halide, neon lighting, drivers, transformers, contractors, breakers, and 3-phase electrical systems. The position involves field work that may require driving between sites, so maintaining a clean driving record is essential. Work hours and shifts may vary based on maintenance needs and service calls, and you will be expected to follow all safety protocols while working around energized equipment and electrical infrastructure.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
