Overview

Schedule:

Working hours will vary based on program and family needs and will encompass various hours and days from Monday to Sunday, as part of a flexible 40-hour work week. Typical hours may range anywhere between 8 am to 8 pm or beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Recruits, assesses, determines eligibility and agency fit, and approves qualified resource families for the Foster Care and Adoptions program, including Complex Care, Professional Parents, and ISFC Plus programs.
  • Independently conducts home studies, initial case management and final walk-through for prospective families. Assists with Pre-Approval training.
  • Assist with conducting orientations, office visits, and other meetings with applicants.
  • Conducts resource family training, including pre-approval, support as needed with biennial renewals.
  • Complete all required training documentation.
  • Independently conducts and writes home studies.
  • Assists in the porting of families either to the agency, or from the agency.
  • Determines if a family is appropriate for approval as a resource family.
  • Develops and creates family development plans, as needed.
  • Identifies family needs regarding additional training or support services to be successful resource parents.
  • Conducts final home inspection and approval of resource families.
  • Completes administrative tasks related to the approval process.
  • Participates in site FCAS meetings, as determined by site Program Directors.
  • Collaborates and communicates with FCAS teams, prospective and current resource parents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, may vary dependent on site and programmatic needs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $70,304 to $84,419 annually; depending on experience, location and internal equity considerations

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Minimum Education and/or Experience
  • Master s degree (M.S.) in Social Work (MSW) required.
  • One (1) year of experience in a Mental Health or a Foster Care setting.
  • Preferred Qualification
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are preferred.
  • S.A.F.E. Home Study certification.
