Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full‑time Case Supervisor for our Deaf Supported Living Services department. This role works directly with disabled adults we serve and provides ongoing supervision, training, and development for the direct support staff that work with our clients.
This position requires moderate skill in AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL). Applicants with minimal or no ASL will not be considered.
What is the job?- Provide support for a caseload of clients and supervise/train staff working with those clients.
- Meet administrative requirements such as documentation, auditing, and training.
- Spend approximately 75% of time face‑to‑face with clients and 25% on administrative tasks.
- Not an office position; focus on on‑site client engagement.
The Case Supervisor is on‑call Monday through Friday and shares a rotating on‑call weekend with other supervisory team members (potentially one weekend a month). The role is not a typical 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule; the supervisor is responsible for all needs of their caseload while on‑call.
CompensationThe rate of pay for this position is $33.80 per hour, which transitions to a salaried position at $70,304 annually following an initial training period.
LocationOur Sacramento office at 2330 Glendale Lane, Sacramento, CA 95825.
Job Requirements- Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion.
- At least two years of experience working with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population).
- At least one year of supervisory and budgetary/finance experience (supervising staff, not supervising people with disabilities).
- Moderate or above skill level in AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL).
- Must be licensed to drive in California with current auto insurance, vehicle, and clean driving record.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background screen and drug screen at hire.
