Under the lead work direction of the SSP III, the Assistant Access Coordinator reviews academic accommodation and auxiliary service requests; assists with providing guidance with disability management; serves as a supportive resource for faculty and staff; and refers students to appropriate technological resources and services. Assists with developing a holistic academic intervention success plan for students with various disabilities, which can include assessment for alternative communication methods, identifying funding sources for communication and/or mobility needs, and collaboration with on‑campus and off‑campus resources.
Works closely with students and faculty to support efficient and effective resolutions for required academic accommodations that do not involve fundamental alterations of courses or impose significant burdens on other students, instructors, or the University as a whole.
The Coordinator works in an interdisciplinary team to support the coordination of efficient and effective academic modification services, ensuring compliance with federal and state disability law and regulations.

Salary and BenefitsAnticipated Salary Range: $4,150 per month (CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,150 – $5,076 per month). Salary Grade/Range: 1.

Full‑Time: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday‑Friday. Summer
Hours:
7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
- Working knowledge of organization and program management methods, research and interviewing techniques, principles of individual and group behavior, and the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the specific campus environment and Student Services field.
- Ability to rapidly acquire a working knowledge of campus Student Services objectives, interpret and apply program rules and regulations, gather and analyze data, reason logically, draw valid conclusions, make recommendations, and present clear information orally and in written reports. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with faculty, administrators, student organizations, and external agencies.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply rules, regulations and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and video technology (Zoom, Teams).
- Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment with diverse colleagues and constituents.
- Experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Experience working with college or university faculty.
- Familiarity with Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Familiarity with disability management, universal design, and disability rights.
- Experience with conflict resolution and case management.
