Case Supervisor Deaf Supported Living Services

Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full-time Case Supervisor for our Deaf Supported Living Services department! This position works directly with the disabled adults our agency serves and provides ongoing supervision, training, and development for the direct support staff that work with our clients!

This position requires moderate skill in AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL). Applicants that have minimal-to-no AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) skills will not be considered.

The Case Supervisor for Deaf Supported Living Services is responsible for providing support for a caseload of clients as well as providing supervision and training for the staff that work with those clients.

The Case Supervisor for Deaf Supported Living Services is also responsible for meeting numerous administrative requirements, such as documentation, auditing, training, and more. However this is NOT an office position! The goal is for the Case Supervisor for Deaf Supported Living Services to spend 75% of their time face-to-face with the clients we serve and 25% meeting administrative requirements.

The Case Supervisor for Deaf Supported Living Services position is on-call Monday through Friday and shares a rotating on-call weekend with the other members of the supervisory team (potentially one weekend a month).

This is not a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. position! The Case Supervisor for Deaf Supported Living Services is responsible for all needs of its caseload while on-call.

The rate of pay rate for this position is $33.80 per hour, which transitions to salaried at $70,304 annually following an initial training period.

This position operates out of our Sacramento office location, which is located at 2330 Glendale Lane Sacramento, CA 95825.

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion
• At least two (2) years experience working with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population)
• At least one (1) year of supervisory and budgetary/finance experience. This means supervising staff, NOT supervising people with disabilities (two years experience providing In-Home Support Services is NOT considered supervision!)
• Moderate of above skill level in AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL)
• Must be licensed to drive in California with current auto insurance, vehicle and clean driving record
