Job Description: The Department of Health Services embedded IT team is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer with 10 years of professional experience to support and enhance web applications for the Behavioral Health Services Division. This role requires a highly skilled, self-directed engineer capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level web applications.
- Develop scalable solutions using ASP.NET Core, C#, MVC, and Angular.
- Design and optimize relational database solutions and write complex SQL queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across application layers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support reporting and analytics needs using SSRS and Power BI (preferred).
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and SDLC processes.
- Document application designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in web application development.
- Extensive experience with ASP.NET Core, C#, MVC, and Angular.
- Strong experience with relational databases and advanced SQL development.
- Proven analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through on deliverables.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, testing, and deployment processes.
- Experience with SSRS and Power BI.
- Strong background in data analytics tools, databases, and enterprise application development.
- Experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems or healthcare environments is a plus.
- Interest in and ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
