This is a full‑time, on‑site Software Development Engineer role based in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions that power Cartogram’s innovative way finding technology. Your day‑to‑day tasks will involve writing clean, efficient code, troubleshooting and debugging, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and delivering high‑quality software products tailored for healthcare clients. You will also work on back‑end systems, implement object‑oriented programming principles, and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability in all deliverables.
Qualifications- Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Between 10% and 25% of work days will require travel outside of state.
- Proficiency in Back‑End Web Development and Software Development methodologies
- Strong Swift background and web‑based software development experience required.
- Experience with Programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, or similar) and Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments
- Proven experience in developing scalable and efficient software solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with healthcare‑focused software or familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
