Position Overview
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Staff Engineer (.Net & Data). The role is a full‑time contract (w2) lasting 12+ months, with hybrid work in Sacramento, CA (3 days in office). It requires over 8 years of hands‑on experience in .NET environments.
Required Technologies & Tools- Languages:
Expert in C#, Type Script/Java Script - Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm
- Data Systems: SQL, No
SQL, Kafka/Kinesis, Elasticsearch - Observability:
Distributed tracing, metrics, logging (Datadog, Prometheus, Cloudwatch) - Practices: CI/CD, Git Ops, Infrastructure as Code, Test‑Driven Development, Integration Testing, Performance Testing
- Architecture:
Microservices, event‑driven architecture, API gateways, service mesh, data mesh - Security: OAuth/OIDC, encryption at rest/transit, zero‑trust principles
- Distributed systems design and implementation

The Staff Engineer drives technical excellence and team success for critical components of behavioral health transformation platforms. You’ll lead architectural decisions within your domain while remaining deeply hands‑on in building systems that serve millions. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, and pragmatic execution to deliver healthcare infrastructure that directly improves lives. You’ll own your team’s success—from technical strategy through production delivery.
TechnicalLeadership & Architecture
Lead architectural design for your team's services and their interactions with the broader platform. Make critical technical decisions on implementation approaches, technology choices, and system design. Establish team‑level engineering standards while aligning with broader organizational practices.
Outcome:
Well‑architected services that scale efficiently and integrate seamlessly with the platform ecosystem.
Write production code for complex features and critical system components (40%+ time allocation). Lead technical implementation of challenging projects through direct contribution. Debug and resolve complex issues spanning multiple services and system boundaries.
Outcome:
Unblock team progress while raising the bar for code quality and system design.
Mentor mid‑level and senior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and architecture discussions. Elevate the team's technical skills through knowledge sharing and best‑practice adoption. Guide engineers from senior to staff‑level thinking and impact.
Outcome:
Build stronger engineers while creating scalable team knowledge.
Partner closely with product managers and designers to shape technical approach to features. Collaborate with other engineering teams on integration points and shared infrastructure. Translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders at all levels.
Outcome:
Aligned execution between product vision and technical implementation.
Design robust APIs and services that other teams can reliably build upon. Drive technical initiatives that improve reliability, performance, and developer experience. Champion engineering excellence through testing, monitoring, and operational practices.

Systems that run reliably in production while being maintainable and extensible.

Pay Range & BenefitsPay Range: $58‑$63 per hour. Pay is based on education, experience, location, duties, certifications, etc.
