AI Engineering & Transformation Architect

We are seeking a technically strong consultant to support upcoming AI transformation and change management initiatives. This role will help introduce AI-enabled development practices, evaluate emerging tools, support secure cloud architecture, and drive adoption across technical teams.

Sacramento, CA. 1-day/week in office is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess current development processes and identify AI opportunities.
• Support adoption of AI across coding, testing, security, deployment, and operations.
• Evaluate AI developer tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
• Establish secure development practices and guardrails for AI-generated code.
• Support cloud architecture, AI proofs of concept, documentation, training, and change adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, architecture, data, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud, Dev Ops, platform engineering, or solution architecture.
• Experience with generative AI, AI-assisted development, or AI agents.
• Understanding of AI-native SDLC, secure coding, Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD, and data protection.
• Strong experience with AWS and GCP
• Experience supporting technical change management
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Databricks Genie, AI/BI, or Unity Catalog experience preferred.
