DELIVERY EXPERT JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards, plus access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. You should possess customer service skills, navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and you must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.

Drivers may assist with inside tasks such as food preparation and cleaning (see General Job Duties for All Team Members).

Must be licensed in the US for at least the last 2 years and be able to prove a licensed driving history. You must be an insured driver on the vehicle s insurance policy. The vehicle must be registered.

PAY

$20.00 per hour, plus tips and mileage

GENERAL JOB DUTIES FOR ALL TEAM MEMBERS

• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler. Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.

TRAINING

Orientation and on-the-job training provided.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (calculator acceptable).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination for precise movements with speed.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area; navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other sites while carrying product.

WORK CONDITIONS

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 to 90 degrees or higher, and other conditions such as fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot oven surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

SENSING

• Talking and hearing on the telephone.
• Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
• Depth perception.
• Ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.

TEMPERAMENTS

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, crouching/squatting, reaching, hand tasks, and machines/tools/equipment use are involved. The specific tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching above 72 inches, carrying items such as cans, pizza sauce, dough, moving trays, and climbing stairs or ladders as needed.

All drivers (applicant or employee) must meet these requirements to be eligible to drive
:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Have a minimum of 2 years of licensed driving history in the United States with documentation
• Unsuspended or uninterrupted driving history of at least 1.5 years in the last 2 years; no more than 1 violation and 1 at-fault accident in the last 2 years
• No more than 2 violations and 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No more than 3 violations in the last 3 years
• No more than 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• Moving violations count as violations; seatbelt and inoperable brake light citations do not
• No distracted driving violations in the last 3 years
• No serious violations in the past 5 years (examples include drugs/alcohol, hit and run, speeding 30 MPH or more over limit, etc.)

Periodic Delivery Vehicle Inspection

Motor vehicles used for business must pass periodic inspections at start of employment and thereafter. This includes headlights, tires, mirrors, taillights, brake system, wipers, doors, backup lights, horn, safety belt, etc.
