As a Front Load Driver, you will be essential in delivering safe and efficient waste, recycling, and compost collection services.
This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, dependable, and enjoy working independently while being part of a team committed to environmental stewardship and exceptional customer service.
- Operate heavy-duty front load trucks to collect waste, recycling, and compost containers along assigned routes.
- Safely navigate through high-traffic areas, congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and locations with limited overhead clearance.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and accurately complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Follow assigned routes, service containers, ensure proper placement, and maintain cleanliness at service locations.
- Utilize a computerized mobile tablet to track route progress, complete stops, and enter relevant notes and information.
- Promptly report unsafe situations, service issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to Supervisor or Dispatch.
- Participate in required training programs, briefings, and meetings.
- Collaborate with Dispatch and Supervisors to improve route efficiency and implement best practices.
- Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs and ensure timely service completion.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement.
- At least 1 year of recent experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience.
- Experience operating vehicles in congested parking lots and roadways.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to pass regular drug screenings, pre-employment physical, and background checks.
$26.00 – $30.00 per hour. Thisis a full-time, hourly position with typical shifts of 10–11 hours per day, Monday through Friday starting at 3 a.m. Drivers are expected to work a Saturday approximately every three weeks.
