Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for an Emergency Response Trailer Hauler on behalf of a growing emergency equipment rental company that supports fire departments, emergency response agencies, disaster relief operations, and incident base camps. This position is responsible for transporting, delivering, setting up, and retrieving critical support equipment, including tents, portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and related emergency response assets.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, has prior trailer hauling experience, and is willing to travel and work weekends when emergency response situations require additional support.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company trucks and trailers to transport emergency support equipment.
  • Deliver, set up, maintain, and retrieve the following:
  • Tents and shelter systems
  • Portable restrooms
  • Hand wash stations
  • Emergency response trailers and equipment
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle and trailer inspections.
  • Properly load, secure, and unload equipment according to safety standards.
  • Coordinate deliveries and deployments with fire departments and emergency response personnel.
  • Complete delivery paperwork, inspection reports, and service documentation.
  • Maintain vehicles, trailers, and equipment in clean and operational condition.
  • Assist with warehouse operations, equipment staging, and inventory management as needed.
  • Respond to emergency deployments during evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when required.
  • Represent the company professionally while working with customers, agencies, and field personnel.
Qualifications
  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Previous trailer hauling/towing experience.
  • Ability to safely maneuver trucks and trailers in various environments.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Availability to work weekends and overtime when business needs or emergency situations arise.
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent driving and equipment handling.
  • Fast‑paced emergency response and disaster support environments.
  • Local and regional travel required.
