As a Sr. Warehouse Associate, you are responsible for material handling including inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. You’ll foster a safe working environment, maintain organized cleanliness, and provide feedback on improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Repackage materials to meet distribution requirements for Service Parts
- Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)
- Identify inventory concerns based on quantity or quality discrepancies
- Provide input into safety, quality, and throughput opportunities
- Understand and utilize standard work
- Maintain proper use of equipment
- Support general material handling requests from leadership and team members
- Participate in group efforts to foster an environment based on continuous improvement
- High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential (preferred)
- 2-4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation in a warehouse or distribution center environment (preferred)
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
- Previous stand‑up forklift experience and ability to operate up to seven hours per day (Stand‑Up Raymond MHE preferred)
- Physical requirement: step up and down of MHE multiple times repetitively
- Comfortable with operating an order picker (Cherry Picker) above floor level
- Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities
- Knowledge of LEAN practices (5S, Identify waste, Process Improvements)
- Led or participated in a continuous improvement project
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience and understanding of utilizing an RF hand‑held scanner
- Understanding and compliance with PPE guidelines
- Ability to stand for 8‑12 hours per day
- Frequent use of hands to handle cumbersome or odd‑shaped materials up to 50lbs.
- Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50lbs. under racking or floor pile locations
- Required to communicate using telephone or email
- Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and SOPs
- Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Ability to perform all duties in a warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
- Commitment to work a flexible schedule, arriving early or staying later than standard hours as needed
The salary range for this role is $26.87/hr for California based applicants. The range reflects the lowest to highest salary in good faith at the time of posting. Employee compensation will be based on competencies, education, experience, geography, shift, and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
