Position OverviewResponsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, fabrication, counter, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.
Job Responsibilities- Load and unload containers, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
- Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.
- Stack or pile materials such as lumber, boards, or pallets.
- Condense bins and make/keep slabs visible.
- Build bundles for trucks and load them as they come back in preparation for the next day’s deliveries.
- Cut slabs as needed.
- Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Verify computations against physical count of stock.
- Maintain condition of work area (free of trash, products in correct location).
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
- Receive and fill orders of materials, and products for fabricators (installers) and subcontractors.
- Operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure slabs have no defects.
- Ensure that all tools, clamps, and straps/cables are kept in good condition.
- Select correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or instructions.
- Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor.
- Under close supervision, exercise limited latitude/independent judgment.
- Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.
– Education and Experience
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Comfortable operating in environments with temperature extremes, moving machinery, and noise.
- Must pass a pre‑employment Drug Test and Background Check.
- HS Diploma or GED required; some experience helpful.
- Forklift/overhead crane experience.
- OSHA certification current.

- Requires occasional sitting.
- Requires frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
