Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology – Safety Harbor, FL
A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for oncology patients in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patients and families throughout the treatment journey.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for oncology patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and established standards of care
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and report changes in status
- Coordinate care and delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe and effective patient care
- Apply evidence-based nursing practices to support clinical excellence and positive patient outcomes
- Maintain professional accountability and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives
- Promote a compassionate, safe, and patient-centered care environment
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department
- Minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
- Previous oncology nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
