JOB TITLE: Office Clerk I

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB DESCRIPTION: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.

SPECIFIC

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains student discipline records and correspondence as assigned.
• Assists Principal's secretary in all office matters including typing, filing, student record keeping, and other tasks as assigned.
• As an office receptionist, handles all communications with parents, teachers, students, and the public in a polite, professional and positive manner.
• Assists students as needed.
• Participates in professional growth activities.
• Maintains a clean, attractive and pleasant office atmosphere that is efficient and organized.
• Becomes knowledgeable and competent in other office affairs so as to be able to handle them in the absence of another secretary or the Principal.
• Answers phones and pursues appropriate follow-up of messages.
• Completes all other tasks as assigned by the Principal.
