Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: PARAPRO
REPORTS TO: Principal/Assigned Teacher
JOB DESCRIPTION: Works in the classroom with students under direct supervision of the teacher.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Assists in tutoring small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
- Provides positive reinforcement for students.
- Assists the teacher in maintaining proper classroom control.
- Escorts students to the office upon request.
- Supervises students during lunch and recesses.
- Remains punctual and works assigned schedule.
- Assists in special class presentations, field trips, and activities as requested.
- Demonstrates confidential, professional, and personable demeanor.
- Handles routine clerical work as assigned.
- Prepares instructional materials as requested by the teacher.
- Follows and enforces school and District regulations and policies.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
