What You’ll Do
Location:
Safford Branch – 280 W Main St., Safford, AZ 85546
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsement.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verifying signatures and member balances.
- Enter members’ transactions into the computer system to record transactions and issue computer‑generated receipts.
- Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash.
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of each shift and compare totals with data displayed on the computer screen.
- Explain, promote, or sell credit union products or services.
- Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
- Accept loan payments.
- Develop an understanding of Credit Union philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures and comply with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, OFAC, and all other applicable State and Federal Financial Institution Regulations.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1–6 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Cash handling experience preferred.

- Target hiring range $15.29–$19.12 per hour (depending on experience and prior to any incentives).
