Job Description

Customers will place orders and receive assistance by phone and in person. The Employee will manage product inventory, provide accurate billing, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. The role will include preparing miscellaneous store activities and supporting the overall store operation.

Responsibilities

• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Assist with store entry and order processing on computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Maintain accurate monetary change and ordering calculations.
• Coordinate with co‑workers to maintain store quality and safety standards.

Training & Orientation

Orientation and on‑the‑job training provided.

Communication Skills

• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers when processing orders.

Essential Functions and Skills

• Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, including making correct monetary change.
• Use a calculator when needed.
• Enter orders using computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Rapid, accurate, precise manual coordination with eyes and hands/fingers.

Work Conditions

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F or higher.
• Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts; cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, and lifting duties: bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling trays up to 30 lbs; climbing stairs or a ladder; forward bending; crouching/squatting; reaching above height of 72 inches.
• Hands and eye‑hand coordination required for frequent use of tools (pizza cutter, peel, rolling cutter).
• Must be able to fit in cramped quarters, navigate hot surfaces and mechanical parts.

Eligibility

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
