Position:Electrical/Instrumentation Technician
We seek highly skilled workers in the Electrical/Instrumentation craft, performing at or above a Journeyman level. Responsibilities include removal, repair, installation of electrical components, systems analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Mentoring or training other electrical employees may be involved. The role requires working under minimal supervision with a focus on safety and production.
- Perform electrical component removal, repair, installation, system analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and system optimization; mentor or train other electrical workers as needed.
- Complete routine and non-routine repairs and construction safely.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment such as substations, power systems, switch gear, motors, control systems, and pneumatic equipment.
- Possess strong knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, control systems, calibration of transmitters/transducers, weigh scales, and low/medium voltage equipment.
- Perform installations and renovations in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Follow SOPs and safety/environmental procedures, and operate equipment correctly.
- Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation program, OR
- At least four (4) years of experience in industrial electrical or instrumentation repair and maintenance, OR
- Associate's degree or Trade Certification plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits and connected equipment using technical manuals, prints, and schematics.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Must have personal tools as specified or obtain them within 90 days.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills, passing required assessments.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, HMI, low/medium voltages, AC/DC controls, instrumentation devices, and diagnostic testing equipment.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English.
- Work in potentially stressful and hazardous environments, including exposure to temperature extremes, moving parts, chemicals, fumes, and confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.
- Use of PPE is mandatory.
- Participation in drug testing and safety training is required.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one, including health, wellness, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement options. The pay range is estimated at $30.00 - $41.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional incentives may apply.
