Back Parts Counter

Position Overview

Team Wieland Truck & Trailer is looking for a motivated Back Parts Counter Representative to support our fast‑paced service department specializing in International® trucks, Fleetrite® parts, and all‑makes commercial vehicles. This position plays a key role in keeping technicians productive by accurately sourcing, staging, and managing parts tied directly to repair orders.

The ideal candidate understands diesel shop operations, OEM and aftermarket sourcing, and takes pride in urgency, accuracy, and teamwork behind the counter.

• Provide daily parts support for service technicians working on International and all‑makes heavy‑duty trucks
• Research parts using VIN‑based lookup, OEM catalogs, and electronic parts systems
• Identify correct components including engines, aftertreatment, electrical, suspension, drivetrain, and chassis parts
• Stage and deliver parts to active repair orders to keep shop efficiency high
• Monitor backorders and communicate ETAs clearly with service advisors
• Verify supersessions and cross‑reference Fleetrite and aftermarket options when needed
• Maintain organized bins and support cycle counts and inventory accuracy
• Work closely with front counter, warehouse, and service teams to maintain workflow

• Heavy‑duty Truck Parts Experience Preferred
• International/Navistar experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with diesel truck systems and shop processes
• Ability to interpret VIN information and electronic parts catalogs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple repair orders
• Team‑first attitude with strong communication skills

• Standing, walking, and moving between parts department and shop floor
• Frequent lifting and handling of heavy truck parts (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
• Comfortable working in warehouse and service shop environments
