Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Site Safety Coordinator provides hands-on, day-to-day safety support for an outdoor solar construction project. This is an entry-level field position focused on maintaining a visible safety presence, observing jobsite conditions, reinforcing the use of required PPE and basic site rules, and promptly communicating concerns to project leadership.

This role is a good fit for someone who has completed OSHA 30 (not mandatory) and has some experience in construction, industrial, medical, clinical, or occupational health. No electrical work or solar installation experience is required. Project leadership will provide direction for complex or higher-risk issues.

This is a six month positon.

  • Walk the jobsite routinely and watch for unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, PPE issues, housekeeping concerns, and access hazards.
  • Remind employees, contractors, and visitors of required PPE and basic site safety expectations.
  • Address straightforward issues promptly and professionally, and elevate serious, repeated, or uncertain concerns to project leadership.
  • Maintain a visible, approachable safety presence and encourage workers to raise concerns.
  • Assist with site orientations, pre-task meetings, toolbox talks, and safety reminders.
  • Immediately report injuries, incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions.
  • Help coordinate first aid or medical assistance when needed and within the limits of training.
  • Support other basic site-safety activities as assigned.
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some previous experience on a construction or industrial jobsite, in safety support, or in a medical, clinical, or occupational health setting.
  • Strong observation and communication skills, with the confidence to address basic concerns respectfully.
  • Dependable, able to follow direction, and comfortable working independently while recognizing when to involve project leadership.
  • First Aid or CPR certification is helpful but not required.
