Mechanical Design Engineer Saginaw< MI

Description

The Process Engineer evaluates customer products including specifications to develop manufacturing plans and produce the products according to customer needs. This position requires extensive design and manufacturing expertise as well as an understanding of equipment cost for evaluation purposes.

• Assists on all aspects of Process Engineering, including Process Development, System Layout, Process Verification, Product/Process change impact, cycle time analysis, ergonomic evaluations, joining requirement (weld, SPR, TOX, etc.) staging, joining equipment selection and validation, Spare Parts, Documentation and Manuals, progress reporting, quoting and estimating.
• Interprets automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications.

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Need a NX Tooling Designer who has designed guarding and cat tracks. 2 to 3 years of experience preferred. Position will be located at our Saginaw facility and is 100% on-site. No travel required. This is expected to be a long‑term assignment. Targeting to stay within our NTE rate or below for this position.
