We are seeking a Lead Controls Hardware Engineer to design, review, and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and water system components for assigned automation projects. In this role, you will lead the hardware engineering effort from concept through commissioning, ensuring that designs are high‑quality, cost‑effective, and compliant with customer and industry standards.

• Lead hardware engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Develop and review concepts, proposals, layouts, and detailed designs.
• Present designs and technical updates to customers; document and distribute meeting minutes.
• Review all drawings prior to release to ensure they meet internal and customer specifications.
• Manage and monitor engineering budgets; ensure hardware designs are cost‑effective.
• Maintain compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and industry requirements.
• Organize and manage engineering revisions and documentation.
• Prepare change information to support estimating activities.
• Support the proposal team with technical input and concept development for new programs.
• Identify and address safety and environmental considerations in all designs.
• Adhere to the company Quality System and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance to support project timelines and team needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred),
  OR
• 8+ years of related controls hardware engineering experience,
  OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands‑on experience with GM EPLAN or EPLAN
