Manufacturing General & Engineering - Controls Engineer 3
The primary function of this role is to initiate control system design from written sequences of operation. The controls engineer will be responsible for designing complex piping and wiring diagrams and providing technical support for various control systems projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and design pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic piping and wiring diagrams.
- Design electrical control panels.
- Develop software for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Perform tryout, debug, and start-up support for control systems.
- Provide technical support for the installation of tools and equipment.
- Assist in the training of plant personnel.
- Travel to plant sites as required.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficient with the application of programmable machine controls hardware and software.
- Proficient with the application of Servo drive hardware and software.
- Proficient with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with basic electrical and safety standards.
- Supervisory capabilities.
