- Cath Lab RN experience

- Experience with patient sedation

Description:

This position cares for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
This position cares for structural heart, interventional radiology, diagnostic/planned intervention neuro, vascular, and EP pacemaker/device patients.
Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural processes, post-procedure care, and patient education.
Performs nursing care of cardiac catheterization, structural heart, interventional radiology, diagnostic/planned intervention neuro, vascular, and EP pacemaker/device patients.
Calculates cardiac output, performs hemodynamic monitoring, procedural setup, and operates life-saving equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella.
Transfers patients, stocks supplies, and performs basic office procedures.
Assists in scrubbing cases and records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
Assists radiologic technologists in circulating cases and sterilely drops procedural supplies on trays.
Call rotation required, including weekends.
Candidates must have a skills checklist current to one year, pertinent to the specialty.
Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are required.
