• Fills out various forms for scheduling purposes.
• Assesses area for cleanliness prior to event/cleanup and handles messes before doors open.
• Helps maintain a clear walk way for patrons.
• Efficiently and courteously distributes information and provides guidance concerning seating and events.
• Escorts guests to their sections/seats, frequently in a dark venue.
• Distributes information concerning upcoming attractions.
• Proactively approaches guests who may have questions, difficulties, or complaints.
• Monitors events and event spaces to watch for potential issues and ensures the safety of all guests.
• Notifies operations staff for assistance when necessary.
• Greet the public and all levels of management and fellow employees enthusiastically in a friendly, positive manner.
• Performs light cleaning of trash and chair removal duties after events.
• Works independently or within groups.
• Judges and assesses situations for immediate appropriate response, including alerting staff or emergency personnel.
• Dresses according to the Dow Event Center/Jolt Credit Union Event Park dress code policy.
• Knowing and enforces Dow Event Center/Jolt Credit Union Event Park policies and procedures.
• Completes incident forms if needed.
• Available to work a minimum of two day/events per month.
• Other duties may be assigned.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 6 months of customer service related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
• Computer skills.

• Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas, including continuous standing, walking, and up/down stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, darkened arena, crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights.
• Regular movement around the facility during events.
• Long periods of standing and walking and the ability to talk and hear clearly.
