Custodian

Be among the first 25 applicants. This role is a Part Time Custodian - 2nd Shift at Shively Brothers in Saginaw, MI. Scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Base pay range: $16.00 /hr – $16.00 /hr. Hiring bonus: $200 after 90 days. Wage: $16.00 /hour.

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as floor scrubbers, burnishing buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing/buffing machines.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Clean furniture, window sills and walls.
• Dust, wash walls, clean ceilings and polish light fixtures.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• Clean/stock restroom, janitorial closet and break rooms.
• Record and document all cleaning functions on appropriate logs and report to supervisor.
• Perform light building maintenance duties as needed.
• Report any major safety or repair items.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• Must be self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• 0–6 months custodial/ janitorial experience using floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow cleaning supply label instructions.
• Ability to follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented approach.
