Maintenance Technician

ABOUT

THE ROLE

Duro-Last Roofing, the world's largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician at their facility in Saginaw, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience. Candidate will also be mechanically inclined as well as have the initiative to be able to work both as a team and individually. This is a full-time position that will report to the Maintenance/Facilities Manager, Stephen Mitchell.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Maintain facility and associated equipment.
  • Work with maintenance vendors.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Complete and submit company purchase requisitions.
  • Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning.
  • Ensure all machinery follows federal, state, and company safety standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 3-5 years industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
  • Must have experience with Industrial Controls.
  • Mechanically inclined, and able to perform physical labor, lifting & operating machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints and experienced with fabrication.
  • Excellent safety and attendance record.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Self-motivated and be able to multi-task.
  • High attention to detail and be exceptionally organized.
  • Must have initiative and be able to work in a team and individually.
