American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current MI license and Level 2 trauma and specialty surgical experience for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts
- Surgical patient population including Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, General/Gyn, and Urology cases
- No on-call or weekend shifts unless scheduled during a holiday
- Level 2 trauma environment with complex surgical procedures
- Responsible for pre-op assessment, developing individualized care plans, and maintaining patient safety throughout surgical procedures
- Supervise OR room activities, assemble supplies, assist anesthesia, and monitor the sterile field
- Communicate effectively with the patient, family, surgical team, and relevant departments
- Opportunity for leadership, preceptorship, and continuing education participation
- No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed
- Local candidates are accepted with a 50-mile radius restriction and are limited to one 13-week contract assignment
- Active Michigan RN license in hand
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years recent RN Operating Room experience required
- Level 2 trauma experience required
- Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, General/Gyn, and Urology procedures required
- Recent travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Submission of two supervisory references from the past two years required
- Operating Room specialty skills checklist completed within the past year required
