Job Details:

• Work under supervision of Med-Surg Nurse Manager

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on nursing unit

• Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately in patient charts

• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessments

• Evaluate patient responses to care and update care plans accordingly

• Oversee delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff

• Accept responsibility for directing co-workers in implementing patient care plans

• Work with general Med/Surg patients including oncology, observation, hospice, medical and surgical patients

• Every other weekend and holiday schedule required

• No on-call responsibilities

• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required

• Med/Surg observation experience required

• BLS (AHA) certification required

• Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification

• Skills checklist current within one year required

• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required

• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
