Description:

The staff RN works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.
The staff RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The staff RN accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the implementation of the patient's plan of care.
The staff RN performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities include providing nursing care using the Nursing Process.
The staff RN completes a nursing assessment of the patient and documents appropriately in the patient chart.
The staff RN develops a plan of care based on the assessment of the patient.
The staff RN implements the plan of care and documents in the chart.
The staff RN evaluates the patient's response to care and updates the plan of care as needed.
The staff RN oversees the delegation of specifics of the patient plan of care to unit staff.
The staff RN will work with general Medical/Surgical patients including those in oncology, observation, hospice, and medical surgical care.
The position requires every other weekend and holiday shifts.
