The
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will be responsible for the following duties:
- Administer & monitor general anesthesia or monitored sedation
- Airway management including mechanical ventilation
- Placement of peripheral intravenous catheters
- Pre-anesthesia evaluation
- Post anesthesia care/discharge
- Evaluate laboratory & diagnostic studies
- Proficient in pain management
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development principles, from neonate to geriatrics
Ideal candidates for the role will have the following:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in State of Illinois
- Completed AANA approved course in Anesthesia
- Masters degree required
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or new graduate who is eligible for certification
- AHA Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required before completing their orientation period
- Knowledge of Epidurals
