Position Summary
New Grad Registered Nurse – Variable (United States of America).
Hours:
PRN, Day or Night Shift – 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am. Compensation:
Starting at $32.05/hour, based on years of experience.
- Coordinate, direct, delegate, and provide patient-centered care to multiple patients.
- Develop relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to enhance quality of care.
- Follow departmental policies and service standards, including critical patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in performance improvement by identifying ways to improve care, reporting unexpected events or near misses, and supporting data collection and documentation audits.
- Maintain excellent customer service through discreet handling of confidential information and cultural sensitivity.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians and other healthcare disciplines.
- Demonstrate employee competency and professionalism, encouraging a culture of accountability, mutual respect, and open communication.
- Participate in employee selection, orientation, pre‑acceptance, and mentoring of nursing staff and student nurses.
- Follow fiscal responsibilities, including compliance with payroll practices and patient chargeable items to ensure cost‑effective care.
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Michigan.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Certification as a Registered Rehabilitation Nurse preferred and encouraged.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong critical‑thinking, decision‑making, delegation, and leadership skills.
- Effective time‑management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints, prioritize tasks, and manage unexpected situations.
- Stand, sit, talk, type, read, and hear; use hands and arms to handle, feel, carry, and work.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and rising while performing patient care.
- Move objects with 20–35 pounds occasionally or 10–25 pounds frequently, or more as needed.
- Use computer systems for patient documentation.
- Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens and hazardous materials; follow safety policies.
- Must be independently mobile with frequent bending and reaching overhead for patient positioning and equipment transfer.
