Description:
This position maintains adequate respiratory and cardiac status of patients awakening from anesthesia. The Registered Nurse continually assesses the patient and carries out doctor's orders while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Regular assessments of patients' needs are performed, providing skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice. Direct resident care includes medication administration, treatments, responding to call lights, assisting with transfers, and addressing alarms.
The effectiveness of the treatment plan is evaluated, with suggestions or participation in updating/revising the plan in collaboration with team members to improve patient care. Processing physician orders and performing assigned care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner is essential. Follow-up regarding medication changes and order clarifications is required. Weekend availability is expected, including during holidays.
