Post Anesthetic Care Unit Nurse
This position maintains adequate respiratory and cardiac status of patients awakening from anesthesia. Continually assesses the patient, carries out doctor's orders while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities (30%)
* Regularly assesses patients/clients needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice. (30%)
* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc. (20%)
* Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care. (10%)
* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner. (10%)
* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
Requirements:
- 2+ Years of PACU Experience - [REQUIRED]
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) - [REQUIRED]
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)
