Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in this role provides comprehensive patient care within the IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The focus is on delivering high-quality, compassionate support to diverse patient populations requiring close monitoring and intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs to develop individualized care plans.
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care, ensuring alignment with clinical goals and patient needs.
- Evaluate patient progress by analyzing clinical data and adjusting care strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure seamless, patient-centered care delivery.
- Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications:
- Valid State License as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Tele Cardiac or ICU/PCU/Stepdown settings.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments with a patient ratio of 4:1 or 5:1.
- Experience in travel nursing and working with diverse patient populations highly preferred.
- Skills checklist pertinent to ICU/PCU nursing, completed within the last year, is required.
