Job Description Quality Assurance Technician

Responsibilities- Ensure corporate integrity in all quality-related tasks.

- Apply total quality principles and quality control techniques.
- Conduct in-process audits (Brinell, dock, documentation, door seal, suspended materials, temperature).
- Maintain and order QA supplies.
- Resolve customer quality inquiries.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications.
- Implement, review, revise, and distribute QA procedures and policies.
- Maintain the Quality Assurance Manual.
- Organize and control the holding/non-conforming product area.
- Maintain and calibrate QA equipment, furnace controls, and monitoring systems.
- Follow TS16949 procedures and requirements.
- Prepare and present key quality metrics and documentation.
- Assist operators, inspectors, forklift drivers, and maintenance as needed.
- Support special projects from the Quality Manager.
- Act as QA authority in the Quality Manager’s absence.
- Complete assigned daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
- Operate a forklift when required.
- Prepare process sheets, rework programs, and nonconformance reports.
- Follow all safety practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support team morale and communicate effectively.
- Participate in team meetings and required training.
- Quality, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness levels.
- Timely preparation of graphs and documentation.
- Employee signoffs on work instructions.
- Customer CPRs.
- TS16949 audit results (minor and major).
- Clear communication and participation in trainings/presentations.
- Follow and report all safety practices.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Job duties may be revised as needed; this description is not a contract.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- TS16949 and APQP experience.
- SPC training and basic quality control coursework.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to support company goals and work in a team setting.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Positive, dependable, self-motivated, and trustworthy.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to operate saws, drills, and hand tools.
- Willingness to work various shifts.
