Job Description
Farmers Insurance District 73 is seeking a motivated and experienced New Agent Trainer to join our leadership team. In this role, you'll work directly with newly appointed agency owners, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully launch and grow their Farmers Insurance agencies.
As a New Agent Trainer, you'll serve as a trusted coach and mentor, guiding new agents through onboarding, business planning, sales development, and agency operations. You'll play a critical role in helping agents build a strong foundation by providing hands-on training, ongoing coaching, and practical support throughout the early stages of their agency journey. - Lead the onboarding and training process for newly appointed Farmers agency owners, helping them transition from licensing to a successful agency launch.
- Deliver structured training on Farmers products, underwriting guidelines, sales processes, systems, and agency operations.
- Coach new agents on business development, prospecting, marketing, customer retention, and sales best practices.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, progress reviews, and performance evaluations to ensure agents remain on track.
- Assist new agents in developing business plans, setting measurable goals, and implementing growth strategies.
- Provide guidance on recruiting, onboarding, and developing agency staff.
- Identify performance gaps and create customized coaching plans to accelerate development and improve results.
- Serve as a trusted mentor and resource, helping new agents navigate challenges and build confidence throughout their first year.
- Collaborate with District Leadership to ensure new agents successfully complete training milestones and achieve production goals.
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license strongly preferred. Candidates without a license should be willing and able to obtain one quickly upon hire.
- Life & Health insurance license is a plus or willingness to obtain.
- 2+ years of experience in business consulting, sales leadership, insurance, agency operations, account management, financial services, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, leading, or developing individuals or business teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business metrics and create effective growth strategies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple agency partnerships simultaneously.
- Professional, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the district to support agency owners.
