Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician position available in the Saginaw, Michigan area working at our client location who is a leading industrial organization.

This is a direct hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Shift time is 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Pay range is $27.00–$30.00 an hour with an opportunity for growth.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules, priorities, and preventive maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical systems and equipment
• Respond to equipment alarms and emergency breakdowns
• Maintain maintenance inventory, supplies, and daily documentation
• Perform startup, shutdown, and recovery of heat treat furnaces and ovens
• Ensure safe operation and resolve equipment issues (e.g., jammed doors, system faults)
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
• Support heat treat operations and work on‑call or varied shifts as needed

• Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, combustion systems, and power transmission
• Basic welding, fabrication, and plumbing abilities
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and proper PPE use
• Ability to read technical instructions and schematics
• Good math, communication, and organizational skills
• Capable working in confined spaces and at heights

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Forklift operation capability (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and on‑call as needed
