Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician position available in the Saginaw, Michigan area working at our client location who is a leading industrial organization.

This is a direct hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Shift time is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay range is $27.00-$30.00 an hour with an opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician Include:

Coordinate maintenance schedules, priorities, and preventive maintenance programs
Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical systems and equipment
Respond to equipment alarms and emergency breakdowns
Maintain maintenance inventory, supplies, and daily documentation
Perform startup, shutdown, and recovery of heat treat furnaces and ovens
Ensure safe operation and resolve equipment issues (e.g., jammed doors, system faults)
Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
Support heat treat operations and work on-call or varied shifts as needed

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, combustion systems, and power transmission
Basic welding, fabrication, and plumbing abilities
Understanding of OSHA regulations and proper PPE use
Ability to read technical instructions and schematics
Good math, communication, and organizational skills
Capable working in confined spaces and at heights

Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician:

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Forklift operation capability (or willingness to obtain certification)
Flexibility to work varied shifts and on-call as needed
