As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic II, you're an experienced technician who keeps complex systems running in a high-production industrial environment. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and undercarriage systems — the advanced troubleshooting that keeps our operations at full uptime. You'll also help shape the next generation of mechanics by mentoring junior team members.

Monday - Friday

7:00 am - 5:50 pm

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical failures on heavy equipment
• Perform advanced repairs on excavators, loaders, material handlers, cranes, forklifts, balers, shredders, and industrial processing equipment
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydrostatic, and undercarriage systems
• Utilize computerized diagnostic software and OEM service manuals
• Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs
• Conduct field service repairs and emergency breakdown troubleshooting
• Rebuild engines, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and major components
• Train and mentor junior mechanics
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards

• 3+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience
• Vocational or technical training in heavy equipment or diesel technology
• Welding and torching experience
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
• Sharp attention to detail
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform manual labor
• Experience in recycling, construction, mining, or industrial operations preferred
• Military experience relevant to mechanical or technical fields welcomed
